BRIDEZILLA

Hey y'all!

I am a very laid back bride-to-be.

I have been very nonchalant and actually wanting to hear ideas from family, friends, and even vendors!

Gasp.

It is not "MY DAY".

It is "OUR DAY".

It is my fiances, myself, our families, our friends, and even our puppies day.

On August 1st, 2015 we will be joining two people, two families, two groups of friends, and even two puppies.

(Hopefully, I am not foreshadowing  Noah's Ark 2.0)

Alright, so now you know how I view my wedding day.

Well, sisterfran had her very first (and only) BRIDEZILLA moment.

It was not pretty folks.

Not at all.

Andrew and I live in Georgia.

We are getting married in Michigan.

We are from Michigan and the majority of our family and friends live there.

We did not want to ask everyone to travel down to Georgia and we both wanted to get married back "HOME".

So, in January we locked down a venue.

A little over three weeks ago, we were contacted by the venue and they informed us that they were having a licencing issue.

No biggie right?

I mean we are not getting married until August of next year...

Well, my amazing future-in-laws went to investigate the situation and lets just say they did not report good news...

The location looked like a hot mess and that is putting it very, very nicely.

So, we needed to break up with them a.s.a.p.

We put down our deposit for the venue.

Also, we put down several other vendor deposits.

I immediately went into panic mode.

What are we going to do?

Are we going to get that money back?

Can our other vendors travel to our new venue?

Are we going to get the money back from the other vendors if they cannot come to our new venue?

ETC...

Thankfully, my incredible future husband took care of the venue and vendor deposits and we were fully refunded.

Basically, we had to start over.

Again, my amazing future-in-laws saved the day!

We will getting married at their house.

The Red House has a ton of family history and memories and it is the perfect place to get married!

Now, we just have to figure out the details.

Who knew planning a wedding would be so stressful? ;)

Hurry Up August 1st, 2015!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo,

Brittney
